I thought it was a set-up when I watched it live on television. But it was not, everything was real. After winding Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz up with little gift as they are a couple and both were nominated, comedian Chris Rock addressed the wife of Will Smith about whom she made a joke which was funny on this occasion.

At first, Will Smith laughed but his wife did not in fact she put on an angry face. Seconds later, the famous actor slapped Chris Rock
When Rock reminded him it was a joke about the 90s movie G.I. Jane starred by Demi Moore Will Smith got even angrier and reaffirmed himself.
However, Chris Rock handled the incident with grace and very well keeping his section with dignity, you can see it now.
I strongly believe this joke was funny and the reaction of Will Smith left him in a bad position as his speech did likewise some minutes thereafter when he received the Oscar for best actor.
The irony of this incident is now Chris Rock has seen an unexpected expectation for his new show which has had a rise in its tickets. On the other hand, after enough time to do it Will Smith finally apologized to the comedian.
It turns out the wife of Will Smith suffers from alopecia thus the joke did not go well with her. Nevertheless, Will Smith seemed drugged and aloof the whole event and he refused to leave the show after slapping Chris Rock as the organization asked him to leave the gala.

I have read A History of Ancient Rome by British writer Mary Beard. This author is renowned. In fact, I watched a Television Series in which Mary Beard was talking about the Roman Empire. Furthermore, she won a royal award in Spain.

The author has spent nearly 50 years studying the Old Roman Empire in order to write this book. We all know details regarding Ancient Rome but the positive aspect in this book is that Mary Beard explains everything in a deep tone with concrete examples.
This book tells of the creation of Rome until the emperor Caracalla concedes the Roman citizenship to all citizens of the Roman Empire.
This is a very well-written book and very interesting and I even felt pity when I was ending it. Mary Beard is dean at Cambridge University and she writes for The Times similarly.
A History of Ancient Rome is an extraordinary book that contains plenty of anecdotes, characters, details, and facts from Ancient Rome which will make you understand how important this world is.
I have always enjoyed the world of Ancient Rome, its emperors for instance, thanks to this reading I have learned a lot and this book is a good read.

Amongst so much pain and desperation, we also find emotive stories. Andriy Khlyvyuk is a hip-hop and rock singer who sings for a band called Boombox and seeing how serious the situation in Ukraine is, he left the United States and came back to Kyiv in order to fight for his country.
In the streets of the Ukrainian capital, clad in military clothes and wearing weapons he sang a traditional Ukrainian song that tells of the red kalyna, a typical Ukrainian flower.
The song appeared on the Internet and a band from South Africa called The Kiffness has remixed this song which is now viral as it is a very touching and beautiful tune that you can discover now:

I had heard a lot regarding Italian writer Roberto Saviano. In fact, he has appeared plenty of times on television for instance because apart from his knowledge he is sentenced to death this is why he has been living with protection 24 hours per day for nearly 20 years insofar as his book Gomorrah, which I have just read, was a success hence this made the Italian mafia to declare he was going to be killed.

I have always enjoyed reading stories about the mafia and besides, I really love movies about this subject but the most incredible thing of this book is that everything contained therein is true as the famous sentence goes: Reality overcomes fiction
This book similarly has become a movie and a television series and we should not be strange as the happenings described inside the book are extraordinary.
We learn from different mafia clans which operate in the south of Italy, about their wars, murders, or businesses that not only take place in Italy but in the whole world.
Furthermore, the way Roberto Saviano writes is outstanding and he gives a proper tone to the narration. The author tells everything as a witness as he is from this part of Italy.
A really great and well-written book yet it has condemned its author to a reclusive life insofar as the mafia wants to kill him one way or another. However, it is nearly 20 years since the publication of the book and Roberto Saviano is alive to date.
