Even though my favourite song to represent Spain was Nochentera by Vicco Halcombe does accept the result thereby I will defend and what is more, support Blanca Paloma and her hit EAEA to represent Spain at Eurovision contest 2023 which takes place in Liverpool (North of England, Great Britain) this year.

Spanish Singer Omar Tries to Copy Alicia Keys and Become a Celebrity Too

You cannot trust a Spanish artist let alone if he does not know Catalan and even less if he appears in a TV show based on a Tele 5 reality television. But perhaps this singer Omar is in a relationship with a celebrity whose surname is Pantoja. I listened recently to his hit Patio de la Cárcel but even though it does not sound bad it is clear he tries to emulate Alicia Keys and her hit Falling.

 This music video reminds me of Alicia Keys and her hit Falling (that can be enjoyed at the end of this post). Unlike Falling this Patio de la Cárcel  is not so famous and of course Omar is not an international star like Alicia Keys. 

But what happens if Omar finally falls in love with a girl from the Pantoja family and has wild sex, marries her and has 5 children? It would be great for him I guess. Anyway, just remember Falling by Alicia Keys.

The situation created by "Izquierda caviar madrileña" in Spain is so dangerous and sad that famous Spanish comedians such as David Broncano, Ana Morgade, Jorge Javier Vázquez, Clara Lago, Clara (the new girlfriend of former professional footballer Gerard Piqué), Antonio De La Torre and the brother of Tatiana Arús (Catalan daughter of Alfonso Arús) may only work now in Catalan but in Catalonia where culture and respect matter. 

In fact, Halcombe was in Barcelona two times last year and the experience was so magical and I feel such awe that now I find interesting the following: the radical fans who support Sabadell Football Club are called Hooligan Vallés

 To sum up, we will see if this relationship between singer Omar and this girl  from the Pantoja family ends in wild sex, love, marriage, children or revenge and of course you are free to compare these two songs: Falling by Alicia Keys and El Patio de la Cárcel by Omar Montes. 

Art allows us to enjoy this kind of comparison because is fiction. However, sometimes reality overcomes fiction if one is not fully informed and in time.

1 Siempre me ha gustado escribir desde niño pero fue a partir de 2012 que decidí escribir de una forma más seria y habitual. Comencé a escribir blogs, artículos de cine y en 2016 publiqué dos libros: Ser un Tusitala: historias únicas de diversa temática para evitar caer en el tedio y en la mediocridad y The Adventures of Halcombe Norilsk and other gripping tales (que lo escribí en inglés y lo publiqué en EEUU). No obstante, son mis 3 siguientes libros que son más comerciales porque son enteramente historias de ficción: El Verano de Natalie Davis (2018), El Cumpleaños de Natalie Davis (2020) y Dulce Katia (2022). Me gustaría escribir muchos libros y hacerlo toda la vida si es posible.

2 Katia es una de mis mejores amigas, ella es una chica peruana que vino a estudiar a Zaragoza y nos hicimos muy amigos, ella luego se fue pero somos tan amigos que me recomendó un libro que me gustó tanto que lo he utilizado para crear una ficción usando su nombre en el título porque yo a ella la llamaba Dulce Katia. No obstante, es todo ficción y hago un homenaje a este libro que el lector descubrirá leyendo el mío y que tanto le gusta a Katia y yo me leí por ella. Iba a escribir la tercera entrega de las aventuras de Natalie Davis pero cuando comenzó la pandemia cambié de idea y quise escribir una historia de amor original porque se habla también de la lengua de signos y las personas sordas.

3 Para ser sincero, no disfruto tanto escribiendo erotismo pero en este libro que me inspiró tanto hay momentos eróticos así que quise hacer un homenaje.

4 Mi verdadero nombre es Alberto Gonzalo Torrellas y así lo constato en la contraportada de mis libros pero a la hora de firmar mis obras lo hago con Halcombe Norilsk (aunque mis 3 primeros libros los firmé simplemente con Halcombe para abreviar) y me gusta utilizar seudónimo. Halcombe Norilsk es un personaje que inventé, en mi libro The Adventures of Halcombe Norilsk and other gripping tales cuento el origen y vida de este personaje. Halcombe Norilsk es también el título de mi blog principal y lo elegí porque cuando comencé a escribir más en serio descubrí que Norilsk es un lugar de Siberia en Rusia que fue elegido como el peor lugar del mundo para vivir así que creé un personaje que nace en Norilsk y viaja por todo el mundo para escapar de su realidad y la gracia estriba en que muere sin poder publicar ningún escrito y yo los publico en su nombre, este personaje (mi seudónimo) es el verdadero autor de mis obras y escritos. Lo de Halcombe no lo quiero explicar todavía.

5 Creo que mi libro no es ni romántico ni erótico al cien por cien porque habla también de la comunidad sorda, la lengua de signos y los intérpretes de lengua de signos que es un mundo desconocido y hago varios homenajes, a este libro que me recomendó Katia, a la ciudad de Zaragoza, a la vida antes de la pandemia… pero sí es una historia de amor también y hay elementos eróticos del mismo modo. Si debo elegir creo que es más un libro romántico que erótico.

6 A diferencia de mis anteriores libros El Cumpleaños de Natalie Davis y El Verano de Natalie Davis escribo en primera persona en Dulce Katia y me ha gustado la experiencia. No obstante, se asegura que todos los personajes que un escritor crea tienen algo de ese autor así que todos tienen algo mío pero en realidad yo me quiero desmarcar de todo lo que sucede y se dice en el libro porque mi objetivo es crear una ficción que pueda gustar, provocar, divertir, entretener así que no me quiero identificar con ninguno simplemente con la labor de escritor de ficción.

7 No hay ningún personaje real. Todo es ficticio. Pero la realidad es que la historia de amor es una oportunidad también para acercar a los lectores a la desconocida realidad de las personas sordas, los intérpretes de lengua de signos y la lengua de signos.

8 Creo que los lectores van a tener una grata experiencia porque se mezclan diferentes elementos que hacen que la lectura sea amena.

9 Me gusta mucho recordar lo que siempre dice Stephen King. Para ser escritor hay que leer y escribir durante 5 horas todos los días y solamente te puedes llamar a ti mismo escritor si cuando recibes un cheque por escribir tu cuenta corriente no está en números rojos.

10 Mi lengua materna es la lengua de signos porque mis padres son personas sordas y del mismo modo he estudiado interpretación de lengua de signos por lo que es un mundo que conozco. Además, la última ganadora de los premios óscar fue una película que también habla de la comunidad sorda CODA.  Y es que la realidad de las persona sordas es muy desconocida e interesante por eso he querido hablar de ello tramando una historia de amor llamada Dulce Katia. Cuando Halcombe se pone a escribir lo da todo así que el lector tendrá una grata experiencia. They are not actors, however, as the TV series talks about the world of music in the competitive city of Los Angeles, two of the main characters are Jennie from Blackpink and Toronto singer of Ethiopian origins The Weeknd albeit I do not believe Jennie is going to star a torrid scene in any regard sincerely, as it would damage her career and perhaps this is only a publicity stunt. 

Anyway, The Idol has everything to become the TV series of this year 2023

Rolling Stone magazine revolutionized the world of music and music journalism. Born in San Francisco (Northern California) was able to captivate the audience in such a way it became the "Bible of rock and roll music" and indeed, artists fought each other in order to appear on the cover because it was deemed an honour (it still is).

The Rolling Stones, which was one of the best rock and roll bands in the world at that time, sued the magazine because they thought the title was very similar to their name hence illegal. However, both parties reached an agreement which fulfillment still is ongoing.

Rolling Stone magazine opened to other musical genres and in the 1990s, it embraced the world of cinema and other kinds of articles, even political ones. With the Internet kicking off Rolling Stone lost relevance as many other magazines but the real problem it faces nowadays is that the new owner is a close friend of Donald Trump only interested in obtaining money when this magazine was very idealistic in its inception.

In fact, seeing this change in the ownership many of the outstanding writers of Rolling Stone left. For instance, critic Peter Travers who was the movie reviewer of the magazine for decades. 

Anyway, Rolling Stone still is relevant and Rosalía makes history.  As a matter of fact, if you are not from America or a country in the same orbit and you do not sing in English achieving what Rosalía has just done is truly remarkable and complicated.

However, even though the pictures are spectacular I was not impressed with the article published on Rosalía and I believe it is because I live in Spain thereby I got plenty of information about her and the magazine published something bearing the American audience in mind.

Similarly, one of the biggest hits of Rosalía in 2022, Despechá, has a new and brilliant live version that can be discovered right now:

Yungblud Live: "Tissues" is The Best Rock Song of 2022

 I did not know this artist called Yungblud yet this new song Tissues is the best I have heard in this year 2022 in the world of rock music.

I discovered this musician thanks to Spanish journalist Inés Chamil who works for the musical magazine Mariskal Rock who interviewed him recently and in a superb way as you can see in her Instagram account.

 Despite the music video of Tissues is not as fabulous as it should be when this artist plays this song live, Tissues sounds even better. Watch this performance in the show of Jimmy Kimmel for instance.

Visiting the City of Ágreda, Soria, Spain

I had a very interesting article about the cemetery of the city of Soria which is set in a verily beautiful and special place. What is more, such an article was filled with plenty of videos for my YouTube channel but I made a mistake because I thought I had these videos on my computer already, and as I do not have much space left I deleted the files with these videos which are forever lost.

The Story of Charles II (Carlos II) Former King of Spain

Charles II was the last Spanish king who knew the Crown of Aragon. The successor of Charles II, Philip V, abolished the Crown of Aragon forever, something which could be deemed a mistake because Spain had a singular federal crown that had possessions in the current Spanish regions of Aragon, Comunidad Valenciana, Catalonia or the Balears Islands. 

If Charles II had had children Spain would have been a different country now probably because Crown of Aragon would be still alive but as Charles II died without any children an international conflict began in order to choose his successor.

The Crown of Aragon supported the successor of the Austrias and the rest of Spain supported the Bourbon candidate who was the ultimate winner, albeit Spain apart from losing the European possessions The Crown of Aragon owned (in current Greece, Italy or France) also had to cede Gibraltar and Menorca to Great Britain.

Yet, Charles II died without any children of his own. It is assured his ancestors had children between them. Hence, he was a sick boy with a feminine look who similarly was unable to have children. When born he was considered an ugly and horrible baby at who was difficult to look.

Charles II belonged to the Habsburg dynasty which ended its period in Spain with his death in the year 1700 which whereby started the Spanish war of succession which introduced the Bourbon dynasty something that still takes place as the current King of Spain, Philip VI (the only one political figure who guarantees the unity of the Kingdom of Spain) deeply knows.

The city of Barcelona fell on September 11, 1714 during this war of succession which as I was saying was an international conflict, this is why the day of Catalonia takes place on September, 11th, as the people of Catalonia (both men and women widely know for sure)
