The second part of my novel "El Verano de Natalie Davis"

Something magical is happening with regards to my novel "El Verano de Natalie Davis" as I am writing the second part. 

THE SECOND PART OF MY NOVEL
I have started writing the second part of my novel. Remember the title of my novel is "El Verano de Natalie Davis" (The summer of Natalie Davis in English). I have written 20 new pages and I am happy with the result. So happy I am with the result that I have included these new 20 pages at the end of my last novel. Thereby, the end changes and now it is longer.

I changed the title from "El Verano de Natalie Davis" to "Natalie Davis" and I have sent it to different publishing Houses because it is now a different novel, a better one. I do not know if this is going to work out. In fact, one person advised me that If there is previously a similar novel, Publishing Houses perhaps do not like my idea.

Nonetheless, I am so happy writing that I do not know whether to write a second part o leave the book with a different end. Publishing Houses need time, yet I do not care about their opinion. Is it a mistake to publish the novel again with a different end? It is better to write a good second part? You should read these new pages, they are overlaid with emotion. In my opinion, my novel gains a lot now with these new pages and a different end.

To say the truth, I have stopped writing the exciting second part. This is because I want to know if Publishing Houses are interested in my idea. The novel has an open end and now it has a complete one with exciting new pages.

You may know my last book, (the third one, the second in Spanish (my second was in English)) was published last year. 

MAKING A MOVIE INSPIRED BY MY BOOK

I would love to see a movie adaptation of my book. To say the truth, I wrote the book thinking about a movie adaptation. What is more, there are multiple references to movies I love and I have watched. The main protagonist watches a good movie every night with her grandmother (you should read my novel, perhaps you love it).

If only I could get some important readings!!! As a result, I thought to send my novel to famous filmmakers. We have some important in Spain (Pedro Almodóvar without going any further, has won two Academy Awards). Some are very international likewise.

I looked for 2 famous filmmakers on Twitter and I offered them my novel. One of them was J. A. Bayona and the second one is Álex de la Iglesia. None of them has answered my tweets but I felt great contacting them.

MOVIE PRODUCERS-LINKEDIN

Another thing I have done is to look for movie producers on Linkedin. There are a lot, but not all of them are rich and powerful or are interested in reading my novel. I got one person interested and I am going to send him my novel. This is positive and it is what I need. I need professional people who have influence and power and are interesting in the novel.

IN THE END

At least I obtained something positive. There is one professional filmmaker who made a movie set in my village and based on a novel. I contacted him and he wants to read the novel.

It would be magical if someone relevant reads and loves my novel, making a movie thereby. I know, I should have a literary agent to do this kind of tasks but I have not I am afraid.

I was filled with emotion contacting professional producers and famous filmmakers. However, I do not know if one day somebody will make a movie inspired by my book!!!

This is one of the most fascinating and intriguing cases ever, the crime does not have a solution as yet. This article will help you to understand what happened.

Gianni Versace; the unsolved death of a fashion legend

It was a July morning of 1997, Gianni Versace was killed at the door of his house in Miami. He was 50 years of age, he had come back from having breakfast when a man of 27 years of age shot him. Consequently, Versace died instantly. The murderer committed suicide 8 days later surrounded by the police. Yet, we barely know more than that.

THEORY 1-A SIMPLE THEFT

At first, the police thought this was a simple theft case because Versace had more than 1200 dollars in cash. However, once the name of Andrew Cunanan, the murderer, appeared, new possibilities starting.

THEORY 2-A FAMOUS NAME TO INCLUDE

Andrew Cunanan was a serial killer. Firstly, he had killed a former Navy Official and former sexual client. Four days later, Cunanan went to Chicago and killed a real state promoter. Subsequently, Cunanan killed another person before stealing a van to drive to Miami. 

Therefore, FBI included him in the list of the ten most relevant fugitives in the USA. Afterward, this man ended his killings with Gianni Versace. As a result, FBI believed this serial killer wanted a famous name to include on his perverse list.

THEORY 3 VENDETTA. MAFIA CONNECTION

As a killed dove was found near the corpse of Gianni Versace, this made the police believed a mafia connection. As a matter of fact, one book published in the year 2010 told the story of a former mafia boss from Calabria. Gianni Versace was from this Italian Region and a person from the Calabrese mafia assured in this book that Versace owed money to the godfather of Calabria mafia, hence his death was ordered by them. However, the family of Gianni Versace swears Gianni never owed money to anyone. They also announced they were going to sue the people who told this story.

THEORY 4 AIDS REVENGE

Andrew Cunanan, the murderer was a gigolo in his youth. He got on well with older and richer men from whom he obtained a lot of money. After leaving such life he got AIDS and got fat. As a result, perhaps he wanted to take revenge from all men who could have infected him. However, no one is sure if there was a sexual relationship between Cunanan and Versace or not.

THEORY 5 JEALOUSLY

Officials know for sure Cunanan and Versace met each other before the killing. They met in a gay club in San Francisco. Besides, in an opera play in the same city in another occasion. Some even say Cunanan went to Italy and met Versace there, in the famous Lake Como. But there are more possible meetings between them that are not revealed. 

American police know for sure that Versace and his boyfriend had hired gay social workers in the past. Nevertheless, the boyfriend of Versace at that time does not remember having hired Cunanan. Still, a friend of Cunanan said that the murderer was obsessed with the people all around Versace, people working with him or even his boyfriend.

What is more, a Brazilian girl told the police she saw Cunanan and Versace dancing at a party in Miami two days before the death of Gianni. The police have not closed this case.

The sister of Gianni, Donatella Versace, became the business owner and still rules. Her daughter, Allegra, is the legal person who will inherit the millionaire empire of Versace. Everything else is still a mystery.

Named after American actress Natalie Portman and supermodels Ebonee Davis and Hannah Davis (now her name is Hannah Jeter nonetheless) as Hannah Davis became one of the best ever covers for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. 

My protagonist, Natalie Davis, wants to become a supermodel. However, her dad, a remarkable lawyer from Manhattan does utterly hate the idea.

As a result, the mum of Natalie sends her to a rural part of Spain, Tarazona (Aragon, my village by the way) to spend a quiet summer with the grandmother of Natalie.

MY GRANDMOTHER MARÍA

I am paying homage to my grandmother who died at the age of 90 and whose last two years of existence were marred with disgrace. What is more, as she was really nice and I love movies so much, I am paying homage to Martin Scorsese movies for instance.

Movies I did watch with my grandmother when I was a teenager. As a matter of fact, she would watch any movie with me regardless of its genre as she was very kind. What is more, I would listen to punk music with her as well. The name of my grandmother was María and this novel is dedicated to her.

I want to write a trilogy. Indeed, the ending of this book is open and perhaps an introduction to a wider story. I am very happy with the result, I started to write El Verano de Natalie Davis (the summer of Natalie Davis) 3 years ago. Just when funny comedian Jimmy Fallon presented the new cover of Sports Illustrated.
